This category is available for foreign nationals who have been temporary residents in Costa Rica for a period of at least three years. It is also available for foreign nationals who are first degree relatives of Costa Rican national, for instance, the father, mother, son, daughter, brother or sister of a Costa Rican national.
Immigration Law in Costa Rica allows foreign nationals to obtain temporary residence under the following categories:
